Reolink client display pro#
Pleasantly surprised to see that it actually takes only one channel thus has left us more room for additional cameras in the near future.Reolink Argus Pro is a wireless Outdoor Security Camera with the benefits of rechargeable battery, HD Video Night Vision, 2-Way Talk, PIR Motion Detection Siren Alert, Support Google Assistant/Cloud Storage/SD Socket.

Our Reolink NVR can support up to 8 cameras and I was of the wrong impression that the DUO 2 would take up two of them (since its actually two cameras in one housing). Another important issue is the number of channels used. A rotating camera would have been more expensive and inevitably creating blind spots when rotating. We had some blind spot areas of some concern with the preceding normal camera but this Due 2 solved this issue without the need to go for a rotating camera option. I have to say that the DUO 2 camera's image quality is simply superb.
Reolink client display upgrade#
Initially we had some issues with getting a full screen image but Reolink's excellent and very patient customer service sent us an NVR firmware upgrade that solved this issue. I recently upgraded one of my outdoor cameras to a DUO 2. I recently upgraded one of my outdoor for a DUO 2 Even though there are TONS of other products/manufactures out there, Reolink fell into my lap and I stayed with their product, and even at 70 bucks or so, the Blue Iris's tech support, at this point is not worth the wait as well as they also tell you the "yearly" updates cost a few bucks for support whcih I REALLY didn't need, after all these years I had one issue and Reolink provided me with the "front of the line" help. Again, the casual user need not have to pay thousands for "special" cams and software. Either way, the Reolink proved to be above and beyond for both having a descent product and jumped to the front of the line regarding tech support. The cams are not that expensive where I may just throw the "broken" one out when that time comes. The "broken" cam will get a new connector as the next project when I have time.

Yes, I know there is a weather sheild however has anyone been able to actually put one of these things on? So the solution this time was to use dielectric grease and seal the connector with the grease. The problem was moisture got into the network cable and corrosion set in and the cam side connector went bad. I've always had a "spare" on hand and as time has it, the weather took out one of my cams. Then as far as support, ReoLink comes out ahead of the game even far and beyond for the "casual" user. The Reolink phone app (FREE) also picks up your cams whereas Blue Iris (currently 10 bucks) is more than one can chew to set up.
Reolink client display software#
Reolink software is FREE where as BlueIris is paid software which I've been using for years but now seems it'll be working it's way to the back burner. Even though the ReoLink software is proprietary, it does a great job and it's nice for trouble shooting any problems I may have with the BlueIris which this last time, tech support took a couple weeks (maybe 10 days to Reolink's next day) to reply. The updated UI is easier to use and streamlined. I didn't want to buy all these other cams to "see" which one worked best so I purchased over the years one of this and one of that and quickly was satisfied when I found Reolink The Reolink's provided me with a clearer and wider angle view for my areas.

(one cam is an Amcrest, works "ok" but the free software as well as the app fall a little short). There are cams sprawled all throughout the house in and out. Good for the time, but once I started using Reolink, for what I had to do, the quality and pricing were perfect. They have been my "goto" ever since I've been slowly changing over from the foscams. Personally, I can't say enough about the relink products.
